Located at the foot of Dinas Emrys (site of historic interest) close to Llyn Dinas, Beddgelert village is a 20 minute scenic walk away along the river Glaslyn. Beddgelert is popular with tourists boasting an excellent choice of eating places, gift shops, village shop and post office, Welsh Highland Railway station, bike hire and an award winning ice cream parlour.

A ½ hour walk in the other direction around Llyn Dinas along the newly upgraded foot path takes you to the hamlet of Nantgwynant where you can join the Llwybyr Watkin foot path up Snowdon. Caffi Gwynant Café is highly recommended – sample home cooking and local produce at its best in a beautifully renovated chapel.
